Slide scanning is done on a state of the art, hi-end Noritsu commercial film scanner costing many thousands of pounds. The resulting images are beautifully rendered, colour corrected, sharp, and of superlative archival quality. There are many cheap slide scanning services out there which offer scans at 4000+ dpi - but without technologically advanced image processing power the scans produce inferior results - FAQS Slide Scanning.

Your image is first displayed on a screen prior to scanning. At this stage we manually adjust the contrast, colour balance and saturation of the image until the screen is showing a perfectly optimised image. Scanning then takes place. Digital Ice technology is used during scanning to remove artifacts and specks of dust and scratches on the slide surface - the results are absolutely stunning.

Standard Verses High Resolution

Standard resolution will is good enough for most purposes. it will easily allow printing up to A4. High resolution will give good quality prints up to A3. Higher res available on request

Medium Format Slides

If you have medium format professional film slides which are in plastic or card mounts, please be aware that we will need to take the film out of the mounts in order to scan it. if the mounts have been glued or gummed together then we will not be able to remount the slides.
