Requirements for Prints

Below is an outline of US Visa Photo Requirements - Hard Printed Copies

• 2 x2 in (50x50mm) photos are required for US Visa
• Frame subject with full face, front view, eyes open
• Make sure photo presents full head from top of hair to bottom of chin
• Height of head should measure 1 inch to 1-3/8 inches (25 mm to 35 mm)
• For US Visa photos, centre head within frame
• Make sure eye height is between 28 mm and 35 mm from bottom of photo
• Photograph subject against a plain white or off-white background
• Position subject and lighting so that there are no distracting shadows
• You must have a natural expression

Reqiuirements for Digital Visa Application

The digital copy should follow the above guide lines for printed copies and in addition need to be resized as follows

• Between 600 x 600 px and 1200 x 1200px
• 24 bit colour using sRGB required
• US Visa digital photos must be in Jpg format
• The file size for the digital copies must be no greater than 240kb
• Compression of no more than 20:1 can be used
